ELCO, the trade name of Electro Balabar Koosha Co., was founded in 2010 by a board bringing 25 years of prior manufacturing experience, and the company states it produced Iran's first fully domestically-made elevator motor that same year — a product submitted to the relevant authorities for testing and approval.
ELCO's product line is exclusively geared machines, currently spanning three families: ELCO Plus, rated 5.5, 6.1, and 7.3 kW with a 1:43 gear ratio and 55 cm sheave for 450–600 kg loads; and SR5 / New SR5, rated 5.5 to 9.2 kW with a 45 cm sheave and up to 750 kg (10-person) capacity, also offering an optional 1.6 m/s speed for freight use. Per authorized-dealer price lists, SR5 is an older design (referred to as the "Sassi pattern") with New SR5 as its current successor.
ELCO Plus machines run on Shell S4 WE 220 gear oil, Class F insulation, IP21 protection, and a 0.75 power factor, backed by a 36-month "golden" warranty plus 10 years of after-sales service.
